The Three Kings
Thomas Beckemsfield issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the Three Kings tavern in Chandos Street, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 531; Obv inscription: THOMAS.BECKEMSFEILD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three kings crowned with sceptres (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SHANDOES.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
