Christ's Passion
Pilgrim badge from an unknown shrine. This is an openwork, shield-shaped badge, which depicts the instruments of Christ’s Passion (the events around the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his sufferings). The badge is in the form of a crowned shield with Christ on the cross in the centre. The instruments are the cross, the crown of thorns, three nails, spear, reed sceptre, the cock that crowed, dice, the pillar and the scourge, some of which can be seen on this badge.
