Livery badge in the form of a Bourchier knot with drawstring bag or bourse underneath. The knot design is based on two interwoven letter Bs. This is the badge of Henry Bourchier (Earl of Essex), Treasurer of England 1455-56, 1460-62 and 1471-83. Supporters of the noble families fighting for power during the Wars of the Roses wore badges to show their allegiance.
