Copper, copper alloy, ligula
A ligula (spoon). A thin length of copper alloy, circular in section, swelling in the centre, bent towards one end.
The ligula may have been used for extracting ointments, medicaments, make-ups and powders from tubes and boxes or for surgical probing and ear cleaning. They are found in great numbers and come in many different varieties.
