Copper, copper alloy, phalera, cavalry harness phalera
A copper-alloy phalera with inlaid niello decoration and with a green-brown patina. The decorative pattern is a common motif of vine tendrils and stylized clusters of grapes. There is a central recessed rivet hole, but otherwise no signs of the means of attachment survive on the rear face.
