Copper, copper alloy, phalera, cavalry harness phalera
A copper-alloy phalera with three areas of niello inlaid decoration or stylised vine tendrils. There is a recessed central hole for attachment. There is also niello on the reverse face of the object, possibly due to the method of application. No shanks survive on the rear face.
