Mandrel
An iron mandrel used for clamping iron to be bent or worked on, from the workshop of Davey & Co., ship chandlers, in the West India Dock Road, Tower Hamlets. This example was forged in two halves to enable the insertion of the bar and was then clamped together with iron rings.
