Roman — Roman; early 2nd-early 3rd century
Phial, unguentarium
Glass unguentarium; Colour: natural green-blue. Very poor quality glass: impurities and some very large, round, elongated bubbles leading to strain cracks. Iridescence and weathering, especially on neck. Parts present: complete (rim, neck, body, base). Isings form 28b. Plain flaring rim, fire-rounded, folded in at one point, irregular. Jacks' marks at base of neck, forming almost a double constriction. Base flat, with quite a high 'kick' for type.
