Coin, nummus AE3
A copper alloy nummus of Constantius Gallus, Caesar (Crown Prince) of the Eastern Empire under Emperor Constantius II, AD 351-354. The back of the coin depicts a fallen horseman. This coin was minted in Siscia (modern day Sisak, Croatia), AD 351-354.
Obv: Draped, bare-headed bust of Constantius Gallus, facing right, with an A behind his head. Obv inscription: DN CONSTANTIVS IVN NOB C. Rev: A soldier, standing left, spearing a fallen horseman, extending his left arm in defence. Rev inscription: FEL TEMP REPARATIO, .ASIS/ in exergue.
