Coin, nummus
A copper alloy nummus of Constantine II. Emperor Constantine II ruled as co-emperor of the Roman Empire alongside his brothers, Constantius II and Constans, AD 337-340. The back of the coin depicts a military standard. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), AD 320-321.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Constantine II, facing left. Obv inscription: CONSTANTINVS IVN N C. Rev: A military standard inscribed VOT XX, flanked by two bound captives. Rev inscription: VIRTVS EXERCIT, PLON in exergue.
