Coin, nummus AE4
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantine I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-337. The back of the coin depicts two soldiers. This coin was minted in Constantinople (modern day Istanbul, Turkey), AD 330-333.
Obv: Cuirassed and diademed bust of Constantine I, facing right. Obv inscription: CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG. Rev: Two soldiers, standing front, with two military standards between them. Rev inscription: [GLORIA E]XERCITVS, CONSΓ in exergue.
