Coin, nummus
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantine I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-337. The back of the coin depicts Sol, the Roman sun god. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), AD 310-312.
Obv: Cuirassed and laureate bust of Constantine I, facing right. Obv inscription: [CONST]ANTINV[S]... . Rev: Sol, standing left, holding a globe in his right hand and a whip in the left. Rev inscription: COMITI AVGG NN, PLN in exergue.
