A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Maxentius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-312. The back of the coin depicts Fides, the Roman goddess of trust. This coin was minted in Ostia, Italy, AD 309-312.
Obv: Laureate head of Maxentius, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C MAXENTIVS P F AVG. Rev: Victory advancing right crowning the seated Roma, in a tetrastyle temple. Rev inscription: FIDES MILITVM AVG N, MOSTT in exergue.
