Coin, radiate
A base silver radiate coin of Emperor Diocletian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 284-305. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Treveri (modern day Trier, Germany), AD 295.
Obv: Draped and radiate bust of Diocletian, facing right. Obv inscription: DIOCLETIAN[VS P F] AVG. Rev: Victory, standing left on a globe, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: VO[T X M XX], D in field (left), PTR in exergue.
