Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Gallienus(?), ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 253-268. The back of the coin possibly depicts Providentia, the female personification of foreseeing. This coin was possibly minted in Mediolanum (modern day Milan, Italy), 253-268 AD.
Obv: Radiate head of Gallienus facing right(?). Obv inscription: …Illegible. Rev: Providentia(?), standing left, holding a baton and a cornucopia. Rev inscription: P[R]O[VID] AVG.
