A silver radiate coin of Emperor Philip I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 244-249. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 248.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Philip I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP PHILIPPVS AVG. Rev: A low column inscribed COS III. Rev inscription: SAECVLARES AVGG. This coin may be part of a hoard from Lime Street, City of London.
