A base silver denarius coin of Emperor Elagabalus, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 218-222. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 218-222.
Obv: Draped and laureate bust of Elagabalus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES ANTONINVS AVG. Rev: Victory, advancing right, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: VICTOR ANTONINI AVG. This coin may be part of a hoard from Lime Street, City of London.
