A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 122-125.
Obv: Laureate bust of Hadrian, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: [IMP CAE]SAR TRAIAN HADRI[ANVS AVG]. Rev: Pax, standing left, holding a branch downwards in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: PM T[R P COS III], SC in field.
