A silver denarius coin of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin depicts Hadrian. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 134-138.
Obv: Bare head of Hadrian, facing right. Obv inscription: HADRIANVS AVG COS III PP. Rev: Hadrian, standing left, sacrificing over an altar from a patera (dish) held in his right hand. Rev inscription: VOTA PVBLICA.
