Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Fortuna, the female personification of fortune. This coin was minted in AD 115-116.
Obv: Draped and laureate bust of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS VI PP. Rev: Fortuna, seated left, holding a rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: SENATVS POPVLVSQVE ROMANVS, [FO]RT RED SC in exergue.
