Coin, sestertius
A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts the female personification of Arabia. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 112-114.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES NERV]AE TR[AIANO] AVG GER DAC PM TR P [COS VI PP]. Rev: Arabia, standing front, head left, holding a bundle of canes and a branch, with a camel by her side. Rev inscription: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, SC in field, ARAB AD QVIS in exergue.
