Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Fortuna, the female personification of fortune. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 112-113.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES NER] TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG [GER DAC]. Rev: Fortuna, seated left, holding a rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: PM [TR P] COS VI PP S[PQR], FORTR[ED] in exergue.
