Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Trajan on horseback. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 112-115.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS VI PP. Rev: Statue of Trajan on horseback, standing left, fore-foot raised, holding a long, reversed spear in his right hand and a naked sword in the left. Rev inscription: SPQR OPT[IM]O PRINCIPI.
