A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. The back of the coin depicts Fides, the Roman goddess of trust. This coin was minted in AD 71.
Obv: Laureate head of Vespasian, facing right. Obv inscription: [IIMP CAESAR VESPAS[IAN AVG COS III. Rev: Fides, standing left, holding a patera (dish) in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: FID[ES PVBLICA], SC in field.
