A silver denarius coin of Emperor Vitellius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69. The back of the coin depicts Jupiter, king of the Roman gods. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 69.
Obv: Laureate head of Vitellius, facing right. Obv inscription: A VITELLIVS GERM IMP TR P. Rev: Jupiter, seated left, holding Victory in his extended right hand and a sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: IVPITER VICTOR. Part of a hoard from Queen Victoria Street, City of London.
