Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts Salus, the female personification of health. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 63-68.
Obv: Laureate head of Nero, facing right. Obv inscription: NERO CAE[SAR AVGVSTVS]. Rev: Salus, seated left, holding a patera (dish) in her extended right hand. Rev inscription: [S]ALV[S] in exergue. Part of a hoard from Queen Victoria Street, City of London.
