Coin, medallion
A copper alloy medallion coin of Faustina the Younger, empress to Marcus Aurelius, AD 161-180. She was the daughter of Emperor Antoninus Pius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 138-161. The back of the coin depicts a peacock. This coin was possibly minted in Rome, Italy, AD 152-153.
Obv: Draped and bare-headed bust of Faustina II, facing right. Obv inscription: FAVSTINAE AVG PII AVG FIL. Rev:A peacock, standing front, head left.
