Coin, as
A copper alloy as coin struck by Emperor Antoninius Pius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 138-161, to commemorate his deceased wife, Empress Faustina the Elder, c. AD 100-140. The back of the coin depicts the Roman goddess Juno, protector and patron goddess of Rome and Roman women. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 147-161.
Obv: Draped and diademed bust of Faustina I, facing right. Obv inscription: DIVA FAVSTINA. Rev: Juno, standing left, raising her right hand. Rev inscription: AETERNITAS, SC in field.
