A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin depicts Pietas, the female personification of dutifulness. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD c. 134-138
Obv: Laureate head of Hadrian, facing right Obv inscription: HADRIANVS AVG COS III PP. Rev: Pietas, standing right, both arms extended over an altar. Rev inscription: Illegible, SC in field, ...TAS in exergue.
