Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin possibly depicts Concordia, the Roman goddess of understanding and marital harmony. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 119-122.
Obv: Laureate bust of Hadrian, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG. Rev: Concordia, enthroned left, holding a patera (dish) in her extended right hand and resting her left arm on a statue of Spes, the female personification of hope. Rev inscription: PM TR P COS III.
