Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts a female figure, possibly Justitia, the Roman goddess of justice. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 98-99.
Obv: Radiate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVA [TRAIAN AVG GER]M PM. Rev: Justitia(?), enthroned left, with a cornucopia for arms, and holding a vertical sceptre in her right hand. Rev inscription: TR POT COS II, SC in exergue.
