A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Roma, the female personification of Rome. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 104-111.
Obv: Head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Roma, seated left on a cuirass, holding Victory in her extended right hand and a vertical spear in the left. Rev inscription: SPQR [OPTIMO PRINCIPI], SC in exergue.
