Plaster cast
This plaster cast of a fragment of decorative stone designed and made at Coade's South Bank Works was probably a sample piece made for a potential client. This and several other examples of coade stone plaster casts were recovered from the South Bank during building works for the Festival of Britain site in 1950. Such samples may have previously been on display in Coade's gallery in Westminster Bridge Road or stored in the factory located in Narrow Wall, Lambeth.
