A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Domitian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 81-96. The back of the coin depicts Mars, the Roman god of war. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 86.
Obv: Laureate bust of Domitian, facing right, with aegis. Obv inscription: IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XII CENS PER PP. Rev: Mars, advancing left, holding Victory in his extended right hand and a military trophy in the left. Rev inscription: SC in field.
