Gold finger ring in the form of a snake, the head set with a citrine quartz and two garnets. The body and head are painted with black enamel patterns. The ring commemorates the death of Hannah, wife of the prominent Jewish merchant and financier Nathan Meyer de Rothschild. It is inscribed 'Hannah de Rothschild died Sept. 5th 1850'.
