Tray, circular tray
An incomplete slate tray, half remaining. Decorated with a border consisting of two rows of crescents set within two outer grooves and one inner groove. The central panel has three compass-scribed ellipses set within an incised circle. At the end of each ellipse, outside the circle is a double circle and dot motif. It is possible that the panel originally held four ellipses, in a symmetrical pattern, but the tray is broken at this point. The slate for this tray was sourced at Kimmerbridge, Dorset.
