A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. The back of the coin depicts an altar. This coin was minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyon, France), AD 77-78.
Obv: Laureate head of Vespasian, facing right, small globe at point of bust. Obv inscription: IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS VIII PP. Rev: A rectangular altar. Rev inscription: SC in field, PROVIDEN in exergue.
