Bracelet
Gold bracelet, part of a set including earrings and a brooch. The oval shaped centrepiece has an enamelled star set with a central half pearl. The bracelet is on a flexible band adjustable through a buckled slide, which was designed to fit the wrist closely, like a modern wristwatch.
The Clerkenwell jeweller Hermann Wehrfritz made this watch for his wife. It was donated by his daughter. Wehrfritz trained as a jeweller in Paris before coming to London in 1860.
