Bracelet
Cameo bracelet, part of a demi-parure including a pair of earrings, 50.66/2. It is made of gold set with a shell cameo cut with a profile heads of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility. The bracelet band is made of hinged links of engraved gold. The band detaches from the centrepiece containing the cameo, which can also be worn alone as a brooch.
The jewellery was made by Herman Wehrfritz, a jeweller of Clerkenwell and Holborn, and donated to the Museum by his daughter.
