Billhead, invoice
Copper-engraved billhead with handwritten invoice issued by the hosier Edward Burkitt located at the corner of Queen Street, Cheapside. The billhead includes an engraving of the tradesman's sign of a portrait of the Queen within a decorative cartouche surmounted by a crown. The engraved script is in English round hand. Dated 4th June 1755 the invoice refers to the supply of livery hose to Mrs Hucks.
