Beard & Co.
Printed and handwritten invoice and receipt issued by Beard & Company coal merchants located at Purfleet Wharf, Earl Street, Blackfriars and Western Wharf, Edward Street, Regent's Park Basin. The invoice refers to the supply of three months coal to Mr Richardson. Coal merchants, such as Beard & Company were located along the wharves of the River Thames and the canals to receive coal as it was discharged from the colliers and barges.
