Pounce-pot
A conical object with an opening at the narrow end and a slightly dished perforated ‘base’. There is a band of concentric turning around the basal edge. The lid is missing. No marks. Date: 17th or 18th century.
Of uncertain function. Possibly some kind of pounce-pot or sander. Sanders were made in a wide variety of materials to suit individual tastes and pockets.
