Stamp
Possibly a bone seal in three sections; a hollow cylinder open at one end with screw threads at either end, to which turned caps are attached. The cylinder has nine facets, each with a different number of circular depressions for decorative effect. There are two bands of circumferential grooves at either end. The caps vary in diameter, but both extend well beyond the cylinder to which they are attached. One is well polished and plain, the other is incised with a criss-cross pattern on the base. There are traces of red pigment, possibly wax in the grooves. Longitudinal slice of bovine, horse or red deer long bone.
