Bone, pinner's bone
Pinner's bone. Bovine metatarsal, right side, fused. The lateral and medial sides at the distal end have been sawn off. The bone has broken in the joint above the foramen. There are facets cut in to the shaft at the proximal end with eleven grooves cut into the longitudinal axis. There are file marks on every side. The bone marrow cavity has been enlarged at the proximal end; and there are file marks around the circumference.
