Handle, drop handle
Rectangular copper-alloy drop handle, the central shaft, hexagonal in section, decorated with two cordons, with small acorn finials at the right-angled junction of the shaft and the arms. The terminals are set at right angles to the arms and each retains a loop, the head of a spike by which the handle was fastened. The loops are each held in place by a corroded finial in the shape of a stylised lion head.
