The Abduction of Persephone by Pluto
Design for a fan: Proserpine (Persephone) carried off by Pluto to the Underworld - with a pencil description of the scene. Paper painted in polychrome across its span with scene of Persephone carried off by Pluto to the Underworld. Along side and top edges areas of two dimensional pattern in pink, white, blue and gold, bordered with god scrolling leaves. Beneath the bottom edge an explanation of the scene written in pencil.
