The Louvre; No 100 Pall Mall
View of the exterior of the Louvre, Paris compared unfavourably to the exterior of the small home of the National Gallery collection prior to its move to Trafalgar Square. The collection was then housed at 100 Pall Mall, the home of John Julius Angerstein whose 38 paintings began the collection. The collection finally moved in 1838.
