Dig, dance and discover London’s vibrant history!

Dive into a season of adventure, discovery and celebration along London’s vibrant quayside. Step into the shoes of an archaeologist and unearth ancient objects in your very own excavation pit.

Experience the fiery story of the Great Fire of London brought to life in a captivating show, celebrate the richness of London’s Caribbean culture in our intergenerational family festival featuring lively dance workshops and DJ sets, or slow things down with relaxing activities inspired by identity and belonging.

The museum is open every day 10am – 5pm.

Our building is accessible and we have lifts on every floor. If you need any help, please ask our friendly Hosts at the Information Desk when you arrive.

Our family-friendly cafe is the perfect place to sit down and relax for a bite or tea break. We have lunch boxes for kids, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.

You’ll also find our shop with a curated range of gifts and souvenirs, including posters, prints, toys, books and jewellery.

Prams and buggies are welcome in the museum. However, due to our Secrets of the Thames exhibition, buggy parking is limited on the Ground Floor.
