Join mudlark Nicola White as she explores the lives of the people who once worked along the River Thames, told through the objects left behind in the mud.
From river workers and tradespeople to forgotten everyday Londoners, these finds offer a touching glimpse into the working life of the river and the stories it still holds.
The talk will take place in the museum’s historic late-Georgian warehouse in the heart of London Docklands. Before and after the lecture, Nicola will display many of her favourite finds from the Thames, offering a rare opportunity to see these discoveries up close.
This talk forms part of our mudlarking weekend – a series of events celebrating London’s rich riverside heritage.
