Nicola White's stories from the Thames
Guest speaker Nicola White presents a special talk related to the Secrets of the Thames exhibition.
Join artist and mudlark Nicola White on a wave of discovery along the River Thames, uncovering extraordinary stories and secrets of forgotten people and places through objects found in the mud.
In this special illustrated talk, Nicola shares some of her most intriguing artefacts – finds that shed light on the lives of soldiers, sailors, pub landlords and countless others who lived and worked in London over the centuries.
The stories Nicola uncovers through her mudlarking outings continue to inspire her as well as thousands of others who follow her adventures on her YouTube channel. As Nicola often says, "You never know how your own story might inspire someone in 200 years".
After her presentation, you’ll be able to delve deeper into the stories behind her finds in a Q&A session.
